CisMiner is an online tool to search for putative Cis-Regulatory Modules genome-wide. Our computational methodology screens the provided genome or regions for Transcription Factor Binding Sites and searches for clusters using fuzzy technology. Fuzzy clustering overcomes the problem of sharp boundaries, where relevant Transcription Factor Binding Sites for the discovered Cis-Regulatory Modules could be arbitrarily omitted or viceversa due to an arbitrary sharp distance threshold otherwise. In addition, cutting-edge Transcription Factor databases and scan tools are used for our search.
